Run your season. Grow your team

One system, two apps: race ops for directors and staff, day-to-day team life for everyone else.

One system, two apps

One system, two apps

FlySport runs the team. RaceCreator runs the race. They share users, rosters, and history.

FlySport (for coaches, athletes, and parents)

The everyday app. Schedule, chat, roster, pods, enrollment.

  • Roster and pods (if you use them)
  • Schedule venues, design skill sessions, collect RSVPs that feed the coach roster.
  • Prospecting, enrollment, waivers, and parental consent in one flow.
  • Chat channels for staff, pods, groups, and individuals; collapsible and re-orderable.

RaceCreator (for league directors)

The race weekend app. Imports, standings, call-ups, placement, prospecting, venue selection, multi-conference aware, pre ride scheduling, call-up creation, and more.

  • Results import from PitZone and BikeReg, with dual-roster reconciliation.
  • Call-up engine: z-score interleave, drop-races, upgrades, head-to-head. Every call carries its reason.
  • Placement engine with a backcast tool
  • Audit trail: every standings change, call-up edit, and override is logged with who and why.
Safety + Chat

Chat that takes child safety as the starting point, not a setting.

Built so the safety rules can't be turned off by accident.

Real-time channels for every team, pod, and compliance group. The rules below are enforced in the database, not in a PDF.

  • Any channel with a minor in it requires at least two adults present.
  • Every athlete message runs through automated moderation, with a nightly deeper review for flagged threads.
  • Under-13 athletes need verified parental consent on file before the kid can sign in.
  • Deleted messages stay visible in the TD and Head Coach audit view. Nothing quietly disappears.

Preseason

Categories, venues, schedule, and pods before a single rider clips in.

Preseason is the quiet part of a director's year, and the part where the season is actually decided. Categories, schedule, venues, permissions, the pod arguments. Same work, one app, with the data sitting next to the form that needs it.

  • League Settings: categories, lap counts, surface adjustments, tiebreakers, bonus points; autosave.
  • Venue Map: weather-scored by real history for the months you race; bulk venue descriptions on one click.
  • Schedule Builder: per-pod skills, NICA 10-week plan loaded, race weekends auto-pair Saturday pre-ride and Sunday race.
  • Time Trials: timed sessions that sort kids into the right practice pod and feed placement-petition evidence.

NCES coverage map

Upload the federal school directory once. The map drops a pin on every school within driving range of an active team and highlights the ones with zero athletes. Most directors find a quiet recruitment hole in about ninety seconds.

Enrollment

One league link. Smart routing. Family sign-up and coach handoff in one sitting.

Most leagues lose kids in the gap between 'I want to ride' and 'I'm on a team.' Generic interest form, email sits in an inbox, family gets handed off to three other sites, kid quietly disappears. We watched it happen for a year and then built the thing we wished existed: one link, one sitting, one trail of breadcrumbs the league can actually see.

From the league's POV

One link, posted anywhere. The form routes each kid via their school attended, then zone, then finally nearest team within sixty miles. Directors see a map of where families are coming in and which schools are silent.

  • School list is the NCES federal directory, prefilled; private and homeschool entries accepted.
  • The League reviews prospects in an inbox at then click handoff to assign the teams.

From the family's POV

Open the link, pick the kid's school from a real list, answer a few questions. The form suggests a team with one sentence saying why. The waiver, the e-signature, and the team's preferred payment channel are all on the next screen. Multiple kids? The form remembers the parent block and only repeats rider details.

  • E-SIGN Act compliant signature, downloadable copy on the family's status page.
  • Close the tab, come back tomorrow from the emailed link; the form picks up where you left off.

From a coach's POV

When the director hands off a prospect, your team's coaches get a chat ping with the rider's name, grade, school, and parent contact. You call or text the family using that contact, and provide your team's Fly sport enrollment link (directors can provide these as well on your behalf). You reply in chat to the team, the family hears back the same evening, the kid feels like the team was actually waiting for them.

  • Family doesn't see chat until they enroll and join the roster. The first touch is your phone, not the app.

Practice Season

Practices started, parents are watching the radar, the app's in your pocket.

Practices

RSVPs in, out, or late with a note. NOAA forecast on every event. The Schedule Builder can put a team's full season together in a few minutes. League events flow to each team, team RSVPs flow back to the league.

  • QR check-in with emergency contacts one tap away.
  • Tracking waivers for a kid who shows up without paperwork; per-season cap keeps it from becoming a loophole.
  • Lightning monitoring: real cloud-to-ground strikes within ten miles, with a push notification when one lands.

Coach certifications, enforced in code

When a cert lapses, that coach is locked out of everything except the compliance page and a chat with the head coach and team director.

  • Role rules are league-editable, not hardcoded; staff and parent helpers keep the access they actually need.
  • Renewal walk-through happens in the locked chat, with the expired item named.

Race Season

Pre-rides, call-ups, race day, results back the same evening.

Race weekend

Pre-ride scheduling per team with a public link the head coach can text to parents. Call-ups generate using rule sets easily communicated and reviewed by everyone.

  • Schedule comes from the league, all staff, coaches, and athletes see the same information
  • Public call-up link is one URL parents bookmark once; the head coach stops being the family hotline.
  • Sanity check flag issues before they go wide to the teams.

Results day

Imports take a RaceResult URL, a PitZone link (we handle the download), a BikeReg export, or a CSV if you're not fancy.

  • Race Analyzer: MPH, lap splits, actual course distance from the route file, buddy-group detection.
  • Series standings update live as races import.
By Role

What it looks like for your role

Same product, four use cases.

League Director

Guiding 100s of athletes, coaches and staff.

  • Prospect coverage map: every ZIP that sent a family, every team's reach, every hole.
  • Hand off interested families to the right team in two clicks, with override.
  • Rider placement using a backcast of last year's results projected into the next season.
  • Multi-state regionals through one platform, with z-score interleave when needed.

Team Director

Running the team as efficiently as possible.

  • Roster view sorts stuck riders to the top: waivers, payments, guardian links.
  • Chat ping when the league hands you a new prospect, with parent contact ready.
  • Family team structure shares one roster across your MS and HS programs.
  • Inbox-style prospect alerts with rider name, school, and parent contact attached.

Coach

You wanted to coach kids. We give you the tools and get out of the way.

  • Time trials sort kids into the right practice pod the same week you run them.
  • Tap-and-fill time trial recording with audio start cues and per-rider lap targets.
  • Easy pod creation and assignment. Easy event and season scheduling. Easy communication with coaches and athletes. Coach compliance built into the apps.

Parent and Athlete

You signed up to ride bikes, not for a fifteen-tab onboarding ordeal.

  • One form picks the school from a real list, routes to a coach who'll actually reply.
  • One account covers the parent and every kid, with built-in guardian access for U13.
  • Practice, races, rides, results, and projections all live in the chat. You see what you need to know what's next.
Reliability

If it breaks, we can put it back

Honest backup tooling, built for the week before championships.

No 100% uptime promise, no compliance badge to wave. If something goes sideways Friday night, we have the tools to put your league back together before Saturday's first call-up.

  • Nightly encrypted backups stored off-site.
  • Selective restore down to a single table or a single league.
  • Restore preview with schema-drift warnings and sample rows from both sides.
Make It Yours

Make it look like your team, not ours

Defaults are fine. Yours will be better.

Teams have a culture. Pods have inside jokes. The parent who hauls every cooler deserves a title that isn't 'Volunteer 3.'

  • Team accent color, pod names, and custom role titles beyond Coach and Athlete.
  • Kid-safe GIF filter in chat so 7th graders can't end a coaching career.
  • Custom event types and per-team waiver text in your own words.
